// WHAT ARE LSAS

What are Google Local Service Ads?

Google Local Service Ads (LSAs) show up above everything else on Google, including regular ads and the map pack. Instead of paying for clicks, you pay when a real customer calls, messages, or books with you through the ad.

Each ad shows your business name, reviews, hours, service area, and the Google Verified badge. That badge tells customers Google has checked you out before they ever pick up the phone.

Why business owners like LSAs:

  • The top spot on Google for local searches
  • You pay per lead, not per click
  • Your reviews and Google Verified badge front and center
  • Leads come straight to your phone
  • Bad leads can be disputed and credited back

// GOOGLE VERIFIED

Google Verified, the badge that replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened

Google Verified

If you've heard of Google Guaranteed or Google Screened, those badges are gone. In October 2025, Google replaced them with one badge for every Local Service Ads business: Google Verified. It also replaced the "License Verified by Google" badge and ended the Google Guarantee money-back program.

Here's what changed:

  • 01

One badge for everyone. Home services, legal, health, and every other LSA category now get the same Google Verified badge.

  • 02

More detail for customers. Your profile shows which verification checks your business passed.

  • 03

No more money-back guarantee. The old Google Guarantee reimbursement program for customers was discontinued.

  • 04

Existing advertisers didn't have to do anything. Businesses already verified were switched to the new badge automatically.

  • 05

Rankings didn't change. Google says the new badge doesn't affect where your ads rank.

To earn Google Verified, your business has to pass Google's screening and verification. That includes checks on your business registration and identity, and depending on your industry it can also include license, insurance, and background checks. We walk you through every step and make sure your documents are submitted correctly the first time.

// EVERY LEAD, EVERY CALL

We listen to every call so you don't pay for bad ones

This is where most LSA accounts lose money. Google charges you for leads that were never real customers: spam, wrong numbers, job seekers, people outside your area, or services you don't offer. Most businesses never dispute them, so they just pay.

  • 01

We listen to every call and review every message that comes through your ads.

  • 02

We mark each lead in your account, including which ones booked, so Google learns what a good lead looks like for you.

  • 03

We dispute every bad or questionable lead and push to get Google to credit it back.

  • 04

You see it all in your report: leads, booked jobs, cost per booked job, and credits recovered.

Google Local Service Ads FAQs

What is Google Verified?

Google Verified is the badge Google now shows on every Local Service Ads business that passes its screening and verification. It replaced the Google Guaranteed, Google Screened, and License Verified by Google badges in October 2025, and your profile shows which checks your business passed.

Is Google Guaranteed still available?

No. Google replaced Google Guaranteed and Google Screened with a single Google Verified badge and discontinued the Google Guarantee money-back program. Businesses that were already verified were moved to Google Verified automatically.

What's the difference between Google Guaranteed and Google Screened?

There isn't one anymore. Google Guaranteed was for home services and Google Screened was for professional services like lawyers and financial planners. Both are now the same Google Verified badge.

How do I get the Google Verified badge?

Sign up for Local Service Ads in an eligible category and pass Google's screening and verification. That covers your business registration and identity, and depending on your industry it can include license, insurance, and background checks. We guide you through each step.

How do I get my business to show up in Google Local Service Ads?

Create an LSA profile, pass verification, and set a budget. After that, your ranking depends on things like your reviews, how close you are to the customer, how quickly you respond, and your budget. We handle the setup and management for you.

How long does it take to get approved?

Usually a few weeks. Background checks and license verification are often the slowest parts. Having your documents ready speeds it up, and we help you get everything submitted correctly the first time.

What happens if I get fake or spam leads?

They can be disputed. Google credits you back for leads that aren't valid, like spam, wrong services, or customers outside your area. We listen to every call and dispute every bad or questionable lead for you.

How much do Local Service Ads cost?

You pay per lead, not per click, and you set your budget. Lead costs vary a lot by industry and city. A cleaning lead costs much less than a personal injury lead. We'll give you a realistic estimate for your industry and area.

How much does LSA management cost?

It depends on your ad budget and how many categories and locations you run. We don't do one-size-fits-all pricing. Book a free consultation and we'll recommend a plan. Keep in mind, the bad-lead credits we recover often add up to more than our management fee.

Can small businesses compete?

Yes. LSAs reward reviews and responsiveness, not just budget. A small business with great reviews that answers the phone can outrank bigger competitors.

How do reviews affect Local Service Ads?

A lot. Reviews are one of the biggest factors in where you rank and whether customers call. More good reviews usually means more leads.

Are Local Service Ads available everywhere?

They're available across most of the U.S. and in many other countries, but the categories offered vary by location. We'll confirm what's available in your area.

Are Local Service Ads worth it?

For most businesses that qualify, yes. You show up above everything else on Google, you only pay for leads, and bad leads can be credited back. They work best when you have good reviews and answer the phone quickly.

Are Local Service Ads still a thing?

Yes. Google keeps adding new industries and still shows LSAs at the very top of search results for local services.

What if my industry isn't on the list?

Google adds new categories often, and some are only available in certain areas. Reach out and we'll check if you qualify.

Do Local Service Ads work better than Google Ads?

For many local service businesses, yes, because you pay per lead and show up at the top. But they work great together. We'll recommend the right mix.
